Dr. Katie Schmitz is an exercise oncology researcher and the current president of the American College of Sports Medicine. Her work has been instrumental in furthering our understanding of weight training and lymphedema in women with breast cancer. 

 

In this episode, we chat about her research in weight training and lymphedema, safety considerations and progression tips. We also talk about the upcoming ACSM roundtable update in 2019 and what we can expect.
